HP Compaq's Mini 700 now on sale in Europe

To our knowledge, neither HP nor Compaq (nor HP Compaq, for the record) have uttered a single word about the clearly real Mini 700. After going a few months without hearing an update, we now have reports that it is widely available overseas. According to NotebookItalia, said netbook will boast a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, GMA950 integrated graphics, 10.2-inch display (1,204 x 600), 1GB of DDR2 RAM,...

TG Sambo releases well-equipped LLUON B2 all-in-one

The LLUON B2 isn’t TG Sambo’s first LLUON all-in-one, but it’s the first one we’ve seen that doesn’t wear its iMac inspiration on its sleeve — or rip off a variant of itself. This well-equipped AIO packs a 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 processor, 320GB hdd, and an NVIDIA GeForce 9300 graphics card with 256MB of video memory. This sleek 26-inch monster is designed...

ASUS officially launches iPod-friendly AIR3 internet radio

Not that this debut is anything shocking (thanks, FCC!), but we’re still stoked to see ASUS get all official with its AIR3 sound system. Sure, it’s not exactly treading on new ground, but for those looking for a touch more functionality in their iPod sound system, the internet radio inclusion is one that’s much appreciated. ASUS talks pretty big about the device’s audio prowess,...

Takara Tomy Xiao printer-camera excretes prints

We never knew that cameras could be constipated, nor that excrement could be framed, but apparently Takara Tomy knows better than us.  Read More →

Foxit takes on the eBook world with low cost eSlick

Never mind those eBay prices for the Kindle, and don’t pay any attention to the $399 sticker attached to Sony’s Reader — instead, feast your eyes on this gem. The $259 eSlick is expected to arrive courtesy of Foxit this January, and if you jump in early, you’ll be able to get it for just $229. Sure, it doesn’t include that fancy connectivity like on the Kindle, but we...

RIM calls the Storm "Verizon's best-selling device"

We’re still no closer to determining just how many BlackBerry Storm sales have been reversed by now, but either way, said handset is reportedly Verizon’s “best-selling device.” Interestingly, it’s up to your best guess as to what that really signifies, as the quantity of Storm devices sold remains tightly under wraps. In other words, you could take that to mean it’s...

Samsung P3 gets official in Korea

It’s no secret that the Samsung Yepp YP-P3 PMP is on the way — Sammy’s shown it off, it’s kicking around the FCC and we’ve already seen it unboxed — but it looks like it’s getting an official launch in Korea just ahead of CES. Specs are the same as we’ve known forever: the same 3-inch, 480 x 272 touchscreen as the P2, but with added haptic feedback and...

MSI's VR220 YA Edition laptop reviewed

MSI’s VR220 YA Edition laptop is a unique piece, packing a tiny 12.1-inch frame (which usually demands a premium) and a relatively reasonable $699 price tag. The laptop straddles an interesting fence, providing better performance than a netbook and less sex appeal than most other 12.1-inchers around. On one hand, the 2GHz T3200 CPU is a nice step above the Atoms that are popping up everywhere...

Pentax K2000 to come in Limited Edition black-and-white cookie style

Pentax’s K2000’s already gotten itself some… shall we say “glowing” reviews, but news that the DSLR will now come in a Limited Edition white is like icing on a super delicious cake. The camera will be exactly the same as its old-fangled black predecessor, and will come with custom white-and-black 18-55mm and 50-200mm lenses. Considering the real lack of color in the DSLR...

Pine-scented ASUS F6V laptop gets unboxed, smelled

We’re not ones to just abruptly stick our nostrils in someone’s business, but we couldn’t help but drift over when waltzing by PC Authority’s most recent unboxing. The smell we caught was of pine, and given that it’s a pine-scented ASUS F6V that’s being unwrapped, we suppose that all adds up. On the real, testers took note of an “unmistakable wafting scent...
